Estio Training has an exciting new vacancy for an Apprentice Mobile Phone Technician, you will be responsible for dis-assembly/reassembly of mobile phones, diagnostics, replacing parts and repairing faults. You will be working on some of the most advanced phones on the market today including Apple iPhones, iPads, Samsung, HTC as well as others.

We are looking for a customer focused, professional individual who demonstrates high attention to detail and ideally you will have a technical/electronics background and a genuine passion for this industry. The successful applicant will be expected to grow within the role, ultimately being able to provide technical support covering the company’s complete portfolio of products.


  • Answering incoming calls from new and existing customers.
  • Dealing with technical repairs around mobile phones, tablets and laptops when required.
  • Testing, diagnosing and repairing devices.
  • Updating devices for customers.
  • Performing repairs on site for customers.
  • Dealing with despatch of repaired items via courier
  • Making calls where necessary.

 Skills Required:

  • Able to follow instructions and be organized, able to complete tasks fully and on time
  • Good Knowledge of up to date technology
  • Good verbal communication, listening skills and confident using the telephone
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to help
  • Able to work effectively within a team and develop positive relationships with colleagues, service users and other professionals
  • Willing to undertake training and development appropriate for the role
  • Tidy appearance, approachable and friendly
  • Desired experience of working with people  and in a team and providing customer service

Training Provided

The Estio Training IT Apprenticeship programme gives young people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.

Learners will receive twelve weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual assessment, and help and guidance from a dedicated trainer who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience. 

Training will lead to industry-recognised qualifications including: 

Advanced apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals 
Level 3 Diploma in Professional 
Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals 
BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles 
Functional skills, Maths L2, English L2 and ICT L2 
CompTIA A+
